Born and raised among the hills and rivers of Taiwan, Hermione Hsieh is an industrial designer driven by curiosity, empathy, and a deep connection to movement. My passion for the outdoors has shaped my understanding of mobility—how the body interacts with its environment and how products can enhance or support that movement.
This passion extends to consumer products, where comfort, ergonomics, and functionality are key. I am particularly drawn to products that interact closely with the body, requiring a balance of comfort, performance, and emotional connection. Skilled in both user research and hands-on prototyping, I’m equipped to identify real needs and translate them into rapid, and tactile design explorations.
I believe good design lives at the intersection of function, form, and emotion. In my work, I aim to create solutions that bring all three together in thoughtful, meaningful ways.
Graduated with Industrial Design bachelor degree from Rhode Island School of Design, currently a student at the Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design.
